Emma Stone To Return As Gwen Stacy In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’? Shailene Woodley To Play As Mary Jane Watson?

Is there a chance that Emma Stone will return in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3"?

The answer is, 'we still don't know.' However, if we were to pattern the plot of the third instalment in Marvel's Spider-man comic series, there is a big chance that Gwen Stacy will be back and that Emma Stone will be playing the character again. So, who would portray the role of Mary Jane Watson if it is not Emma Stone?

Shailene Woodley might also return in "The Amazing Spider-Man 3", although technically she is no longer part of the second instalment after all her scenes were removed. This time, we can say that she could be available if the production starts shooting the scenes for the third instalment since the two-part "Divergent" third sequel "Allegiant" is set to hit theaters in 2016 and 2017.

However, there is also a speculation that "True Blood" actress Deborah Ann Woll might be the one to play Peter Parker's love interest. This is, perhaps, in case Woodley would no longer accept the role or would not be available. She might not have played a lot of roles yet, but who knows, being part of the mainstream film like "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" will be her breakthrough.

This might happen if Marc Webb will include the Jackal as part of the super villains that Spider-man will have to face apart from Goblin, Doc Ock, and Rhino, who we are expecting to give Spider-man a hard time.

For those who are not aware of "The Clone Saga" in the comic series, the Jackal is Miles Warren who is Gwen and Peter's biology professor. He is the one who creates clones of the two former partners. If this will be the plot of the film, perhaps Peter Parker will be torn between two lovers.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is still more or less 4 years away before it will hit the big screen which means we still have a luxury of time to find out if Emma Stone will be back and if Shailene Woodley will be Mary Jane Watson.
