Mexico politician slammed over Ronaldinho racist slur amidst skills

Mexican club Queretaro slammed a local politician after he posted racist comments about Ronaldinho.

Ronaldinho's new Mexican club called for politician Carlos Manuel Trevino Nunez to be reprimanded after he posted racist slur in his Facebook account.

This happened after Ronaldinho was officially announced by the team and the event cause major traffic in the central Mexican city on Friday.

According to the post "I try to be tolerant but I hate football and the dumbing down phenomenon it produces. "I hate it even more because people obstruct and flood the avenues, and it took me two hours to get home, and this was all for an ape; Brazilian but an ape nonetheless."

Currently, the post has already been deleted but was later published by Mexican news organizations on social media websites.

Because of this, the Queretaro has issued an official statement on the matter,. It says "After the regrettable publication on social media by a person of public status, Mr Carlos Manuel Trevino Nunez, insulting our player Ronaldo de Assis Moreira 'Ronaldinho,' we exhort the authorities to look into the matter."

Ronaldinho who was awarded the World Player of the Year for two times has just become a free agent last July after cancelling his contract with Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro. He has also played for Paris St Germain and AC Milan.

Ronaldinho becomes the seventh Brazilian past World Cup winner to join Mexico's top flight over the years. Aside from him, other Brazilian players who joined Mexico are Vava, who played for Club America, Didi, who went to Veracruz, and Bebeto, who played for Toros Neza.

On the other hand, Ronaldinho divulge that he feels young again after joining Mexican club Queretaro. He said "'I'm like a youngster that is starting over." Saying he hopes that he can help the team win their first title. He said "'I'm up for it and I want to make history with this club. I'm motivated."

Adding "I need to win something in Mexico. 'I've come here for that and I'm going to fight to help my team win something."

Currently the club is under new management and that they are putting the burden of success to Ronaldinho. He said "'I just arrived. I'm well physically but I shouldn't play today. In a few days I can be part of the group and, if the coach wants, I can play immediately."
