Lee Seung Gi, as the crown prince Lee Jae Ha in the popular and recently concluded MBC drama "The King 2 Hearts", gained notoriety for his downright cruel attitude towards actress Ha Ji Won's character, North Korean special agent Kim Hang Ah.  While audiences have criticized this harsh behavior, Lee Seung Gi himself has admitted in a recent interview that his character was difficult to play.

Claiming that "my character's behavior as a human was difficult to understand", the actor said, "as Lee Seung Gi the actor, there were scenes I could not comprehend. To be honest, I was very overbearing to the woman in the beginning, to the point where I asked myself how I could do this. Perhaps it was because Jae Ha wasn't sure that he loved Hang Ah in the beginning but I know that Jae Ha's strong personality drew a lot of sympathy for Hang Ah."

As the series goes on, however, Jae Ha eventually earns the love of the audience by showing a genuine, caring side. Lee Seung Gi says that his character "became such a good human being that audiences may have completely forgotten the former image of Jae Ha."

Having almost immediately gained feminine popularity and fame in his 2004 debut as a singer, Lee Seung Gi says he fulfilled two of his career wishes of working with director Lee Jae Gyu and Ha Ji Won by acting in "The King 2 Hearts".
