While more than a handful of K-Pop stars take a shot at acting, only a few manage to pull off a commendable job. In an arena entirely different from the world of entertainment via singing and dancing, many pop stars fall short of decent, as they are compared with professional actors and actresses who have been trained to entertain via acting. Park Yoo Chun from the group JYJ, however, is an exception: his acting has been received well by the critics. As displayed in the 20-episode SBS drama 'Rooftop Prince', Park Yoo Chun's refined acting skills have earned him a reputation of a talented actor.

In the drama, which just ended as of the end of May, Park Yoo Chun played the character of Crown Prince Lee Gak, a humorous yet charismatic prince of the Chosun Dynasty. As this is only Park's third year in the small screens, his acting talent is still in the development stage. With such a warm welcome and positive feedback from both the audience and the critics, much more growth and even better acting can be expected from this relatively inexperienced actor.

Currently, Park Yoo Chun is deciding between numerous proposals for future dramas. "I want to decide by the end of June, or as soon as possible." He wants to rush the process, so that he can squeeze in another role before getting enlisted into the army. "After I come back from the army, I will have hit my 30s. I want to do another drama that I can act in as a man in his 20s."
