Lee Young Ae Reviews Offer To Appear In ‘Dae Jang Geum 2’
A representative for actress Lee Young Ae has revealed that she received the offer to act in the sequel of MBC's historical drama 'Dae Jang Geum' and is seriously reviewing the matter.
'Dae Jang Geum 2' has attracted much interest since 2008 as the possible rendezvous for Korea's best historical drama PD Lee Byung Hoon and popular drama lead Lee Young Ae.
According to a representative on the 27th, MBC and Lee Young Ae have discussed in depth of the sequel in which Jang Geum beings the second half of her life exiled in Jeju island, rather than simply confirming schedules. The representative stated, "Because only the synopsis has been written, Lee Young Ae cannot confirm her appearance, but she is reviewing it gravely since Dae Jang Geum is the drama that she cares for dearly."
There have been rumors saying that if Lee Young Ae were to make her comeback after film 'Lady Vengeance,' it would be through MBC's 'Dae Jang Geum2.' Dae Jang Geum is the drama which made Korean culture known to China as well as the world.
The Chinese and Japanese media have also shown interest to the fact that Lee Young Ae received the acting offer for 'Dae Jang Geum 2.'
