Kim Soo Hyun Takes Home 2 Gold Medals From Mnet's '20 Choice' Awards
The 6th Mnet '20's Choice' opened at 7pm on the 28th at the Banyan Tree Outdoor Swimming Pool in Joong-Gu Jang Choong Dong in Seoul.
This day, Kim Soo Hyun received not one but two gold medals in categories of popularity and male stars awards. Much of his popularity was credited towards MBC drama 'The Moon That Embraces the Sun,' in which Kim played a main role.
As for the female stars award, Han Ji Min from SBS drama 'Rooftop Prince' received the honor. Han gave recognition to the staff for their hard work and credited them for her award.
The award of best movie actor and actress went to 'Architecture 101' with Lee Je Hoon and Suzy. The movie that had a breakthrough of 4 million audiences credited its fan explosion upon the acting of the two stars.
Recipients of 20's performance star award as 'trouble makers', Hyun Ah from 4 Minute and Hyun Seung from Beast, were not present at this event. Han Hye Jin from SBS talk show 'Healing Camp' was given the 20's variety star award.
TaeTiSeo, the subgroup unit of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seo Hyun from Girls' Generation received the 20's Trendy Music through the song 'Twinkle'. Another female group Sistar was awarded the 20's Sexy Performance. The 20's Global Star award went to Super Junior for having expanded K-pop to as far as Europe.
'Upcoming 20's,' an award for the youth stars, gave recognition to Yeo Jin Goo from 'The Moon That Embraces The Sun.' 20's Style went to the model Jang Yoon Joo. Soccer player Goo Ja Chul won the 20's Sports Star, yet was not able to attend the event.
