Is Maksim Chmerkovskiy still dating Meryl Davis, J.Lo? It's been a while since news about Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his Olympic dance partner in 'Dancing With the Stars' Meryl Davis or singer Jennifer Lopez have hit the tabloids. But that is not to say that Maksim is busy skipping girlfriends, mimicking dating habits of teenage idol Justin Bieber.
Maksim, a Ukraine borne dancer, made it big in the entertainment business when he won the Season 18 of the 'Dancing With The Stars' (DWTS), attributing the win to his 'close friend' Meryl Davis. But is Maks dating Meryl or J Lo.? Maks leaves it to his fans to guess and he does not appear to be comfortable talking about his dating escapades.
Chmerkovskiy's win at DWTS Season 18 was his first after many years of trying. And Maks feels obligated to Meryl for giving him a Crystal Trophy. He also acknowledged that he wants Meryl to be the last one he dances with professionally, because of the 'huge' chemistry they had on the dance floor. In an interview with People Magazine Maks reportedly said that he loves Davis in 'non-romantic' way, which translates to a platonic friendship.
Maksim told vcpost.com, "I was dancing pro on the show for about a decade, and I needed the trophy to show for it. But Meryl was part of that. And while I am doing other things, Meryl is a close friend," denying rumors of romance between the two.
The dancing champ was also quoted by the Epoch Times as saying that he is a hopeless romantic and that he gets into trouble when he falls into lust. This was a description he used while talking about his relationship with Jennifer Lopez.
