"My Spring Days" reached the double digits this week as the romantic story suggested a more dramatic and perhaps tragic conclusion. The drama rated 10.6 percent in viewer ratings, which is 2.1 percent higher than the last episode.

Kam Woo Sung, who plays the widower Kang Dong Ha, said that he took the role in the heart transplant drama because of the ending, but he would not say whether that ending was a hopeful one.

In a handwritten letter to fans, Kam Woo Sung praised the sensitivity of the drama's writer and director and said, "I decided to be part of this drama based on the conclusion of it."

It doesn't look very good for Choi Sooyoung's character Lee Bom Yi.

As Lee Bom Yi becomes sick and wonders about her own mortality, the drama raises the very real possibility that the character might not survive. That's what she seems to think as she is making a bucket list of things she wants to do before she dies.

The odds of surviving a heart transplant do go down dramatically after five years and the drama started five years after Lee Bom Yi had her transplant. Will this sweet light romance end on a teary note? That would seem unfair to the characters and the viewers who have come to love the optimistic Lee Bom Yi.

The drama that usually takes second place in the Monday-Tuesday night slot is "My Lovable Girl," starring Rain, Infinite's L and Krystal Jung. The drama about a k-pop entertainment agency was postponed due to a baseball game between the LG Twins and NC Dinos. Fans of the drama were upset at the cancellation but the delayed schedule may have provided star Krystal Jung with some extra time to rest. On Oct. 18, the f(x) singer fainted after performing at the SMTOWN Concert in Shanghai. She was seen leaning on fellow f(x) member Victoria after singing "Red Light" and after that was carried to a van. It was later revealed that Krystal was suffering from exhaustion due to her busy schedule, which included filming "My Lovable Girl" and participating in group performances.

The KBS drama "Blade Man," starring Lee Dong Wook and Shin Se Kyung, moved into second place. The drama previously saw ratings of between 4 and 6 percent. This week it increased by 0.8 percent to achieve 5.1 percent in the ratings.
