He led such a trailblazing life and passed on too soon, that the fascination with Steve Jobs is certain to linger on for ages. Hollywood is certainly enthralled. Though the first biopic on the Apple founder's life, Jobs, released in 2013 which starred Ashton Kutcher in the titular role was not much of a success, still Hollywood finds plenty in the visionary's life to try to make another attempt at bringing it to the big screen. This time around it's going to be a Christian Bale Steve Jobs movie.

That's right, it has just been recently announced that Dark Knight actor Christian Bale will be playing the role of Steve Jobs in a Sony production. It was screenwriter Aaron Sorkin who announced this Christian Bale Steve Jobs movie in an interview on Bloomberg Television. According to Sorkin (A Few Good Men, The West Wing), there was no other actor of his generation that they thought would be perfect for the part.  "We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale," Sorkin shared. "He didn't have to audition. Well, there was a meeting."

"[Christian Bale] has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined," Sorkin added. "There isn't a scene or a frame that he's not in. And there's a tremendous amount of language. So it's an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it."

Certainly, other actors were also interested in playing the legendary Apple founder. It was previously reported that actors such Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck were interested in the role. But now it is official that this is going to be a Christian Bale Steve Jobs movie.

The story will be based on the biography on Steve Jobs written by Walter Isaacson which came out in 2011. Previously, Gone Girl's David Fincher was attached for the directorial duties. But he dropped out of the project, and now the Christian Bale Steve Jobs movie has director Danny Boyle in the directorial chair. Boyle is best remembered for his movie, Slumdog Millionaire.
