Go Ah Sung is the next Hallyu star being courted by Hollywood. The actress appeared in Bong Ho's internationally acclaimed science fiction film "Snowpiercer" with co-stars Song Kang Ho, Chris Evans and Tilda Swinton. Her appearance in that film garnered interest this year when "Snowpiercer" was the first Korean production to open at the LA Film Fest.

According to her agency, 4 Door Entertainment, the actress has signed a deal with the U.S.-based Untitled Entertainment Agency. It's the same agency that represents Naomi Watts, Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz.

Go Ah Sung cannot be described as an overnight success. The 22-year-old has been a professional model and actress since he was four years old.

She took a break from working in her teens but returned with the small screen production of "God of Study" when she was 17.

In an interview with Elle magazine, she said she wanted to spend time not as a child actor but as a 17-year-old girl.

"I tried music, taking photos, and traveled, and even performed in Hongdae as a vocalist," said Go. "I experienced a peculiar pleasure from displaying photos I'd shot in a contest exhibit."

Her acting talent first gained international attention when she appeared in another Bong Ho production, the 2006 monster film, "The Host." Actor Song Kang Ho also appeared in that film.

Go's other noteworthy role was in the 2014 film "Elegant Lies," which the Hollywood Reporter praised as being one of the best films of the year. Go Ah Sung played the elder daughter Man Ji in the film. She's the older sister of Cheon Ji, a girl who commits suicide for no apparent reason. Since Cheon Ji was the sweet uncomplaining type, her family is left to figure out why she took her own life.

Go is not the first k-movie or k-drama actress to be courted by Hollwyood. Ha Ji Won,t he star of "Empress Ki" and "Secret Garden," recently signed with United Talent Agency, which represents Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, Johnny Depp and Daniel Radcliffe. Bae Doona is a favorite of Andy and Lana Wachowski and is currently appearing in a third production of theirs. The Wachowskis, best known for their film "The Matrix," featured her in "Cloud Atlas," "Jupiter Ascending" and "Sense8."

Coincidentally, Bong Ho first noticed Go Ah Sung when she in the drama "Beating Heart" with her co-star Bae Doona.

At that time he praised her work, calling her mature for her age and said that her maturity contributed to her charm.
