There were plenty of k-drama reunions this year but one of the most successful was Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara, reuniting after a dozen years to work together in "Fated to Love You." Their onscreen reunion was so successful that the actors have decided to have a second reunion in the same year.

This time the stars will appear in an MBC Drama Festival story titled "Old Farewell" on Nov. 9.

"Old Farewell" is a romantic time travel fantasy in which a couple gets a second chance at love and at properly saying goodbye. Jang Hyuk will play a former boxer named So Hyuk and Jang Nara will play Chae Hee, his wife.

Chae Hee is dying. Once passionately in love with her, So Hyuk travels through time to meet her again at different ages and discover why he originally fell for her. He meets her when she is 10, 17 and 22.

But traveling through time to revisit their romantic past is dangerous and he may risk his life to discover what he has lost.

The drama will also reunite the Jang Hyuk-Jang Nara team with an actor and the director they worked with in "Fated To Love You."

Im Hyung Joon, who played Mr. Choi in "Fated To Love You," will also play a part in "Old Farewell." Kim Hee Won, the director that worked on "Fated To Love You," will direct the drama special.

Go Du Shim, who previously appeared in "One Warm Word" and "Mother's Garden" and who now appears in "Legendary Witch," has also been cast.

Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk first worked together in 2002 when they played a couple in "The Successful Story of a Bright Girl."

When they were cast together for the second time Jang Hyuk admitted they were not close the first time they worked together on "Successful Story of a Bright Girl" and they did not stay in touch after the drama ended.

"I no longer kept in touch with Jang Nara after we finished filming the drama, but the surprising thing is I felt comfortable working with her after so many years," he said.

Working together on "Fated To Love You" was so much easier the second time around it must have inspired a third time.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Korea Communications Agency has funded the production of "Old Farewell." Jang Hyuk is also filming a web drama titled "Love Cells." Jang Nara is busy preparing for her next drama "Mr. Baek."
