'Blood Ransom' Trailer Released [WATCH]; Vampire Theme Movie U.S Release Date Set For October 31; 'BR' Star Anne Curtis Arrived In L.A. For US Debut
Trailer for an upcoming vampire themed movie "Blood Ransom" has been released. The US release date of this movie is set for October 31, 2014, while premiere date in the Philippines is set for October 29.
The thriller film is starred by Aussie-Filipina actress, Anne Curtis. She played the role of Crystal, a vampire girl. Based on Trailer.Apple.com, the plot summary reads:
"In the wake of her parents' death, Crystal (Anne Curtis in her U.S. feature film debut) seeks comfort in the darkest corners of the night, and begins the seven-day process of becoming a vampire. But when a human (Alexander Dreymon), kidnaps her away from her immortal master (Caleb Hunt), a dangerous love triangle is formed - and a deadly game begins. Now on the run, Crystal must choose to embrace the monster she's becoming, or sacrifice everything for love."
On a post of Examiner, Filipina actress arrived in L.A. this week for her U.S film debut. Examiner writer Peter Gonzaga said that Anne is considered the Philippines' version of Britney Spears minus the craziness. The Filipina actress was also interviewed by Chris Trondsen of Pacific Rim Video. The actress told Chris that she was so nervous and excited about the debut.
The interviewer asked Curtis about her first film role in a Hollywood film. She answered, "I'm excited and it's different from what I've done in the Philippines. This is something my fans haven't seen me in before."
