Avengers 3 Rumors And Theories Includes Marvel Adding Adam Warlock! Who Else Could Be Added To The Roster?

The "Avengers 3" is bound to be Marvel's grandest movie and will probably constitute the end of the first Three Phases. There are a lot of rumors and speculation on how this will be executed, and one of the more interesting theories is that there will be grand alliance among the heroes.

The projected release date for Avengers 3 is rumored to be May 4, 2018-keeping the 1st weekend of May tradition alive. It also makes a consistent three year gap between Avengers movies (2012, 2015, 2018).

Based on their timeline there are 6 movies between "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" and "Avengers 3." Five have been identified to be Ant Man, Captain America 3, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and the already confirmed Thor 3 but the actual release date is not yet set. It could go before or after GOTG 2. The other mystery movie is still unknown but likely candidates are Black Panther, Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel or theInhumans.

It is highly speculated that the plot for Avengers 3 would center around Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Thus, three things need to happen within those six films:

Thanos would gain the Infinity Gauntlet (currently in Odin's vault, Asgard) and this will likely happen in Thor 3. Of course, he would also need to obtain all the other infinity gems.

A theory from Comic Book Movie describes this event not only as a possibility but a necessity:

"Thanos gaining the gauntlet would essentially mean he has gained godhood, but it would also potentially entertain the notion of extreme pride and vanity that can be played on just as in the comics. I believe seeing this culminate into his godhood would lead to some of the most epic climactic and apocalyptic battles we will see on the silver screen as far as comics are concerned. Something to make DC truly have to up their game with the Justice League."

But how will they defeat Thanos godlike powers?

A grand alliance, as proposed:

"In the comics Adam Warlock planned the assault on Thanos in the most Machiavellian manner possible. He was so sinister in his methods that he succeeded thwarting Thanos within his own godhood. He perpetrated most of this by sacrificing everyone to do it.

I think a revision of this scenario will be likely, but I think it's best if perpetrated by both Warlock and Strange. Strange's film will need to make jumps in storyline to catch up to the global and interstellar events shaping up for the MCU to join aptly. Mainly a connection with Muspelheim and Surtur would also need to happen in some form to bring it all neatly together."

Marvel has announced that Strange's film will skip the origin, similar to the proposal.

Are you excited with these possibilities?
