‘I Am A King’ Has ‘Korea’s First’ Palace Premiere On The 13th, In Celebration Of Korea’s National Liberation Day

The movie 'I Am A King' will have Korea's first outdoors premiere at Deosugung palace.

Comic historical movie, 'I Am A King' will have a meaningful event on the 13th, in celebration of August 15th, Korea's National Liberation Day. It is receiving a great deal of attention because it will be the first time a national movie will premiere outdoors in a palace.

The palace holds Korea's history and was used in the past as a dwelling place for lord Kwanghae, Injo, and emperor Gojong. They plan to hold the premiere in the palace, because it will be much more meaningful when people watch the historic movie.

'I Am A King' plans to invite the diverse people of Seoul and plans to invite men of merit and their families as well. With over 500 civilians that will be at the premiere, the large outdoor premiere will be a great time to enjoy Korea's history.

'I Am A King' is about the hidden stories before Sejong was crowned as king and is a funny and meaningful movie that the whole family can enjoy. The movie has the honor to premiere at the palace for the first time.

Sejong who does not want to be a king trades identities with the servant Deok Chil, who looks exactly like him. The comic historic movie, 'I Am A King' will be released on the 8th in theaters.
