‘Unexpected You’, Kim Nam Joo Has A Miscarriage

Kim Nam Joo sobs desperately holding her miscarried baby's sonogram.

On episode 48 of 'Unexpected You', which aired on August 5, Cha Yoon Hee (Kim Nam Joo) finds out that her baby's heart has stopped beating. She learns of her miscarriage during a doctor's visit with her husband, Bang Gwi Nam (Yoo Joon Sang). She also learns that it was because of an anomaly in her body.

Gwi Nam cries while Yoon Hee receives surgery to remove the dead fetus. He then notifies their families of the unfortunate event. After the surgery, Yoon Hee is calm as she leaves the hospital. Yoon Hee remains unmoved at her mother's caress and support. Her tranquility does not last long, however. Yoon begins to weep as she finds a sonogram in her dresser drawer.

As she looks at the sonogram, she reminisces the time she had said to her husband, "This child is only a few millimeters, but is already giving me stress." She then explains that she just feels that the child would have come at a different time. This memory suddenly makes Yoon Hee extremely depressed and she continues to weep furiously holding the sonogram in her arms.
