Park Jin Hee And Her Non-Celebrity Husband Have A Daughter

Actress Park Jin Hee and her non-celebrity husband are now the parents of their first child, a healthy baby daughter.

On Nov. 7, a representative of her agency, Costar Entertainment told Star News that both mother and child were doing well.

"Park Jin Hee gave birth to her daughter on Nov. 6 at around 2 p.m.," said the CoStar Entertainment representative. "She is currently recuperating. Both the mother and child are healthy."

Before her daughter was born Park Jin Hee nicknamed the child Nal Doong," after the Portuguese soccer player Christiano Ronaldo. Both Park Jin Hee and her husband are soccer fans and the baby kicked a lot. The actress and her husband have not disclosed the baby's name.

The couple married on May 11 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. It was a small private ceremony with only friends and family in attendance. Park Jin Hee's husband is a lawyer at a top overseas law firm. Park, 36, met the 31-year-old lawyer while she was shooting the MBC drama "Hur Jun, the Original Story."

It was love at first sight, say their friends but it did not hurt that they shared so many interests. Both are actively interested in protecting the environment. Park Jin Hee, who has a master's degree in social welfare, has been a promotional ambassador for the Seoul Environmental Film Festival, the Korea Green Foundation and the International Natural Preserve Organization. She personally volunteered to help clean up after a 2007 oil spill, the worst oil spill in Korean history.

The 36-year-old actress also participated in the short film about environmental dangers, titled "Take Action, Now or Never!"

The groom-to-be said he was attracted to Park Jin Hee because of her modesty and kind heart.

The couple dated for about 11 months before deciding to marry. The actress found out she was four months pregnant shortly after the wedding ceremony.

The actress, who began working in her teens, is best known for her dramas "War of Money," "Giant," Please Come Back Soon Ae." She played Kim Bum's news anchor love interest in "The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry." She is also known for her roles in the films "Shadows in the Palace," "Whispering Corridors," and "Grape Candy." Besides filming more than a dozen dramas and a dozen films, the actress has hosted radio and variety shows. She won a Best Actress award for her role in "Giant" at the 2010 SBS Drama Awards.
