The news had the Internet and social media buzzing for a while, but now there's official confirmation that the news is a hoax! The supposed Beyonce surprise album, with its track list and even the official looking letterhead of Beyonce's company Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. According to the general manager of Parkwood Entertainment the leaked track list photo is a complete hoax!
"It's completely made up," Lee Anne Callahan-Longo confirmed in an interview with Billboard. "After all the hubbub this weekend, we kind of said, 'Well, let's just put it out and say what it is.' It's funny, I got a bunch of calls over the weekend and I would say, 'It's exciting to know people are excited.' Even if they're reporting it wrong, and that people would take their time to go and create a fake one-sheet - right down to using a Columbia logo on it. I would love to know who did it. They clearly knew what a line sheet used to look like - they don't look that anymore."
The new Beyonce surprise album that was a fake was called Beyonce Volume 2. It appeared to show that the songs on the new album will have collaborations with such big name artists such as Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna. The complete song list is as follows: "Sweet Illusion," " DONK, featuring Nicki Minaj," " Good in Good Bye," " Loyal," "Renouncement, featuring Justin Timberlake," "Sensation of Pain," "Fashion," "KO," "True," "Cherry, featuring Rihanna" "Flawless (Remix), featuring Nicki Minaj"
Everybody thought that Beyonce was trying to pull another fast one under everyone's noses just like she did last year when she dropped her surprise album just before midnight on December 13. It was uploaded exclusively on iTunes, without any promotion or marketing.
But Callahan-Longo said that the Beyonce's new album, a four dish platinum edition of the album she released last year was not planned to be a secret.
