What else should you know about this actor? Here are a few facts:

1.     His good looks earned him the nickname of Ko-vid because of his resemblance to the famous statue of David by Michelangelo.

That nickname does concern him.

"I'm afraid that my nickname might influence people's impression of me," he said in an interview with Star News. "It will be really sad if my nickname affects in me trying to show who I really am."

He is not just a pretty face.

2.     He does not consider himself ambitious, in that he does not have a big plan for his life.

"I think I just want to do what I want at the moment and live the way I am, rather than striving to achieve something huge," he said in an interview with 10Asia. I'm not the type that does things on purpose. Just naturally, going with the flow. I don't need to get anything in particular on purpose. If I want something, I'll think 'I want it' but think that I'll get it one day rather than trying to get it right away."

3.     He always wanted to act in films. But even after acting in dramas, it took a while to work up the courage. It wasn't until he finished his two years of mandatory military duty, that he began to focus on films.

"I wanted to make films from very early on in my career, but I didn't feel confident enough. I finally plucked up the courage after leaving the military and I became increasingly attracted to movies, especially the quick and intense production schedules," he said in an interview with the Chosun Ilbo. His last drama role was in "Empire of Gold."

4.     He is married to a woman who is 11 years younger than he is. When he was 30 he began dating Kim Hye Yeon, an art student. The couple married in 2012 and had a son the next year.

5.     In his spare time Ko Soo likes to go camping, which he did when he was in school. He also likes traveling and taking photos. Not that he has a lot of spare time. This year he appeared in two short films, "Awaiting" and "Myohyangsangwan" as well as "The Royal Tailors."
