‘The Originals’ Season 2 Recap: Klaus ‘Resolves’ Issues With His Real Father In Episode 7! Will There Be A Mikaelson Family Reunion Soon?

With only two episodes left for 2014, this week's 'The Originals' season 2 recap brought in all the emotion and family drama on the threshold.

Klaus, with the intent of waking his brother up from their mother's magically induced sleep (with nightmares), ends up asking help from his biological father, Ansel. The old werewolf tries to engage his son in conversation but gets rebuffed every time.

Paranoid Klaus can't trust his father, even when he helped him get the flower that will wake Elijah up. He somewhat forgives him but he still can't trust him. So when Ansel tells him that he knows Hope is alive, Klaus has no choice but to kill him, thinking that Esther can use his recently resurrected father to get to his daughter.

"You waited too long before you came to rescue me," he tells Ansel. "I won't make the same mistake with Hope."

To continue with this week's 'The Originals' season 2 recap, Elijah finally wakes up with help from Klaus and the medicine. The nightmares, on the other hand, still haunt him even while awake. Will the discovery of his inner demon push him to the edge soon?

For now, he promises to protect his niece "at any cost."

Meanwhile, Khol is called home by Esther and grilled about Mikael. He fends off her suspicions and brings Davina to his secret lab. They work on a plan to dagger Klaus without getting Davina's friends killed. When she falls asleep, however, Khol disappears, along with the white oak stake.

Cammie, on the other hand, becomes the bait to get Finn. The relief she feels doesn't last long, though as Esther finally gets a hold of her for her twisted plans as soon as she's alone.

Back at the Mikaelson abode, Elijah and Klaus meet both Finn and Khol, shackled to the stairs of their ballroom, thanks to Marcel and Hayley.

With Elijah, Klaus, Marcel and Hayley working together now, will they be able to stop Esther's perverse plan to "cure" them of vampirism?

Will Jackson finally step up to become the pack's alpha? Will Davina help the Mikaelsons in their domestic fight?

Episode 8 will bring Rebekah back to the story. Will she be tempted to join accept her mother's offer? Will baby Hope be endangered once again?
