[Rumor] ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3’ May Not Happen If ‘The Sinister Six’ Movie Flops!
Will "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" arrive on big screen this 2018 whether its movie spinoff "The Sinister Six" movie will make it as a box office hit or not?
It's still four years away before the target release date of Sony's webslinger's movie; but the question remains hanging. However, Sony doesn't either deny or affirm the rumor that the third "The Amazing Spider-Man" installment may not happen.
Right now, it is busy with the anti-hero film that is set to hit theaters in 2016. 'The Sinister Six' was slated for 2018 release, but with unexpected low gross of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", Sony has to take action to make the Spider-Man franchise a box-office hit again.
There have been a lot of rumors on the story plot of the third installment, but none of those are confirmed by Sony. The latest one was a standalone movie of Aunt May as an agent. Sony, as cited on Venture Capital Post, confirmed through Comic Book Releases that the idea of Aunt May movie was "silly rumor" and "no validity whatsoever".
But right now, Sony has not yet released clear details on the fate of "The Amazing Spider-Man 3". That's why the rumor that Gwen Stacy will return on the next sequel of the webslinger movie remains circling around online.
Despite the unconfirmed report that the third installment of Sam Raimi's "The Amazing Spider-Man" is on shaky ground, pro-wrestler Stephen Farrelly has expressed interest in taking the role of super villain Venom.
He said on a chat with Irish Central, "I always read comic books as a kid, I always remember Eddie Brock, who was Venom in the Spider-Man comics. He was kind of a red head. I'd love to play the role of Venom and Eddie Brock. Venom was one of my favorite characters. It would be a dream come true for me to star in the next Spider-Man film as Venom."
Whether or not "The Amazing-Spider-Man 3" would be in theaters, perhaps Farrelly could appear in the standalone movie "Venom" or in movie spinoff "The Sinister Six".
