Conor McGregor news reveals featherweight Ricardo Llamas' claims that "The Notorious" is "being protected" by the UFC. "The Bully" also egged on the Irish mixed martial arts star to continue with his trash talking.

Llamas recently finished fast-rising star Dennis Bermudez by first round submission at the UFC's inaugural UFC 180 event in Mexico two weeks ago. As one of the current contenders at the featherweight division, he is bound to cross paths with Conor McGregor, who is currently being built up as the next UFC superstar.

Conor McGregor news reveals, however, that "The Bully" alleged that the Irishman is being protected by the UFC by not letting him face top-notch wrestlers.

"He's a big name in the sport right now, so I think the UFC is kind of protecting him, not giving him wrestlers, and if he wants to get to a title shot I think he needs to fight a wrestler before doing that," Llamas said in an interview with Submission Radio.

Llamas went on to criticize McGregor's fighting style, noting that none of it will work once they face each other.

"I think the big difference will be my wrestling," he added. "All his flashy moves won't work when he's on his back getting punched in the face."

Conor McGregor news also reveals that "The Notorious'" claim to fame is his penchant for trash talking and getting his opponents riled up emotionally. His next fight against top ten featherweight Dennis Siver began with a trade of verbal tirades that led to the making of the fight.

According to Llamas, however, all of those antics will not work on him, and even urged McGregor to carry on with it.

"There's nothing that guy's going to be able to say to me that's going to get me riled up to the point where I'm like angry, you know what I mean? I grew up in a house with six older brothers; I got picked on my entire life," he added. "If he wants to play this game, he's going to lose and he's going to lose horribly."
