Many fans got thrilled when they saw the "Jurassic World" trailer because they finally got a glimpse of the awesome park, the dinosaurs and the stars of the movie. One of the highlights of the footage was Chris Pratt being chased by the dinosaur, but we aren't sure if that was the T-Rex or the hybrid dinosaur.

In the official trailer, Bryce Dallas Howard revealed that they created a hybrid dinosaur, which we suspect was the Diabolus Rex. However, that beast escaped and Pratt's character explained how dangerous the dinosaur was. Owen said, "She's a highly intelligent animal. She'll kill anything that moves." That's pretty terrifying, right?

During an interview with Empire, Colin Trevorrow finally answered what fans wanted to know about the D-Rex and why they decided to create that dinosaur instead of just focusing on the iconic T-Rex. He said, "There is no shortage of awesome [real] dinosaurs. We could have populated this entire story with new species that haven't been in any of these movies. But this new creation is what gave me a reason to tell another Jurassic Park story."

Trevorrow further explained, "We have the most awe-inspiring creatures to ever walk the Earth right in front of us, but for some reason that's not enough. We're always hungry for the next thing, and those who profit from it are always looking to feed that hunger. The focus groups want something bigger than a T-Rex. And that's what they get." Now we know how big and scary the D-Rex is.

Another cool scene in the "Jurassic World" trailer was when Chris Pratt's character drove his motorcycle alongside the Velociraptors. YouTube user Ivan Flores claimed that he had already seen the first footage of the movie and spilled out some details of what he saw. ScreenRant reported him saying, "The trailer concludes with Chris Pratt's character, a dinosaur handler, revealing that he has muzzled (and tamed) Velociraptors, whom he employs to help track down and recapture the renegade creature."

That was close to what we saw on the official trailer so Empire asked Colin Trevorrow if Chris Pratt's character is friends with the Velociraptors. He said, "Owen's relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren't friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they'll bite your head off if you make the wrong move. But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That's interesting territory to me."

Since the focus is on the D-Rex, will the iconic T-Rex still appear in the film? Trevorrow said, "You bet your ass you will." Check out the awesome "Jurassic World" trailer below:
