Star Wars 7 The Force Awakens: Fans Are Complaining About The Crossguard Lightsaber! Could It Have A Relevance To The Sequel?

Last November 28th, Disney and Lucasfilm doomed the entertainment universe fiercely; On what is usually a  holiday for the whole North America, Star Wars fans were given an early holiday present with very first sneak peek to the official look of Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Force Awakens in the form of a brief teaser trailer being shown at a chosen theaters on Black Friday.

Concentrating more on the fresh characters an d familiar starship, 88-second Star Wars 7 teaser had our impressions quite nostalgic even if some supporters took an argument about particular design being emphasized in the enchanting reel (read our analysis here), And no, We aren't babbling about the soccer ball that was indeed the foundation of the idealogy from its original concept from Ralph McQuarrie, We are babbling about the one-of-a-kind lightsaber that Star Wars fans gave rise to numerous memes that circulated in a span of a few hours.

Reactions and all their perceptions varied: from it merely looking cool, to be it being odd, to some thinking that its just evidently dumb or unnecessary, This is where we get a bit genius and freaky  about its outer attributes.

Limitless complaints and distrust traveled from the hope that this is just a Hollywood gimmick of looking cool but it to the avid sword players and traditional weaponry supporters, They might get the cross-like design right.

Depending on what elements from the Expanded Universe Star Wars: Episode VIII and 9 (and of course, who might forget about the numerous spinoffs)  plan to get a concrete picture and explanation from, Perhaps the material that the haft is made out of is really lightsaber resistant: There are actually handful (abelt rare) materials that bill in the lore. Well of course, the creator might as well know that not all its audience got themselves familiarized with this elements, Right?

Take note that all this sudden conclusions are based on simply and limited seconds from the teaser trailer.

Maybe the crossguard's lightsaber user in the first Star Wars: episode VII trailer be the key for the old weapon to be re-discovered? An by-gone Jedi re-awakened? Did the very recent lightsaber do the job for you  and could it have an important relevance to the sequel, or is it better to keep it a way simple?
