Fans of actors Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo will have a double treat this month. Not only will "Criminal Designers," the film the actors star in be released late in December. The actors will also be seen promoting their new film on various variety shows.

And that includes appearances on the variety show "Running Man." On Dec. 1 Kim and Lee were seen in the Myeongdong and Yongsan areas of Seoul filming an upcoming episode of "Running Man." Along with the seven original members of the variety show, the participants will be divided into three teams for the episode. Kim Woo Bin has been assigned to a team consisting of Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo. Lee Hyun Woo will join a team along with Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook. The third group will consist of Ji Suk Kin, Haha and Gary Kang.

If the teams have to crack a safe or hack into a computer system, the two actors will be able to contribute some acting expertise from "Criminal Designers," which is also called "The Technicians."

That's because "Criminal Designers" is a hi-tech heist film. In the film Kim Woo Bin plays Ji Hyuk, a safe cracker with a fondness for antiques and jewelry. He meets the tough genius hacker Jong Bae, played by Lee Hyun Woo. Together these experts team up to steal $10 million that is hidden in the Incheon Customs. But even given their expertise, the caper is still going to be a challenge. The thieves must steal the money in 40 minutes or less. And once they have the money in hand they may be reluctant to pass it on. They are stealing the money on assignment but it will be very tempting not to pass it on to the gangsters who hired them.

"Criminal Designers" also stars Jo Yoon Hee, Jo Dal Hwan and Kim Yong Chul. The film was first screened at the 2014 Busan International Film Festival, where it won praise from viewers. After it was shown at the Asian Film Market, the rights were sold to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines. It was also screened at the American Film Market in the U.S. in November.

The film is set to premiere in Korea on Dec. 24. The episode of "Running Man" likely to feature the popular stars is supposed to air on Dec. 28.
