Recently ended cable channel tvN drama, 'Reply 1997', is gaining more and more notice among foreign fans.

For two weeks, from September 19th to October 2nd, CJ E&M held a 'Reply 1997 Cover Contest' through its youtube channel and Facebook page. There were contestants from all over the world including the U.S., Australia, Hong Kong, China, Brazil, etc.

'Reply 1997 Cover Contest' was to record their own version of Seo In Gook and Jung Eun Ji's duet song, 'All For You,' which hit number 1 on all the music charts as soon as it was released. The video would then need to be posted on youtube and Facebook. The winner would be decided based on the vocal performance, the hits on the video, and how popular the video becomes.

The contest ended on the 2nd. 85% and more of the participants were foreigners which show how popular the song is overseas.

Among all the foreign contestants, the one that stood out the most was a cute Polish girl with blonde hair and horn-rimmed glasses. This video currently has over 20,000 views with over 200 comments.

She especially has a beautiful voice with a natural Korean accent. She also had a mustache and wore a suit for Seo In Gook's part of the duet and made it seem like there was a real duet going on. Her stage presence and unusual split-screen acting has caught the eye of Korean netizens.

A representative of the CJ E&M Music Business Division Distributor Team said, "Like Psy's 'Gangnam Style', the spreading of K-POP has had a huge boost through online platforms like youtube. 'Reply 1997 Cover Contest' is evidence of its popularity by the amount of foreign fans that participated. We plan on continuing to use various online platforms to continue to attract foreign fans."

The winner of 'Reply 1997 Cover Contest' will be decided on October 9th.
