On the 4th, in episode 16 of MBC Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Arang and the Magistrate', Arang, who was suffering from memory loss, finally remembered how she died when she came face to face with Moo Yeon the monster (played by Kang Moon Young).
In this episode, Arang and Eun Oh go to where the monster was staying. However, the person that was there was the lady that was introduced as Joo Wal's aunt. Arang and Eun Oh were both shocked at this.
However, on the other hand, the monster calmly said, "Long time no see, Magistrate. I was too busy to recognize my own son then."
At this moment, Arang remembered what happened with the monster in the past. She remembered that when she was following Joo Wal in her past life, she witnessed Moo Yeon enter the body of Eun Oh's mother to possess her. However, Moo Yeon and Eun Oh's mother fought for control over the body.
In the end, Eun Oh's mother attempted to stab herself because she was not able to handle the pain. Joo Wal stopped her from stabbing herself so Eun Oh's mother turned the knife towards Joo Wal and attacked him. Lee Seo Rim (Arang, before she died) felt the danger so she stepped in front of Joo Wal to save him.
In the end, Arang was not murdered, she died trying to save Joo Wal's life.
