Actress Han Ji Hye is refusing brand name sponsors for her wardrobe in the drama. She is personally picking her work clothes.

In the MBC weekend drama, 'May Queen', Han Ji Hye is playing the role of Cheon Hae Ju, who is always brave, even in difficult situations. To fit her character, she needs casual, but lively clothes for every episode.

Han Ji Hye went to stores to shop for clothes for her modest character using her own money. It is said that even when Han Ji Hye is not filming, she dresses in Hae Ju's style to keep in character.

Through her role in 'May Queen', Han Ji Hye successfully transformed from a feminine image to a more tomboyish one. This is because she put a lot of work into her character like refusing high-end brand names to make her character authentic.

Han Ji Hye said, "Hae Ju is tough and thrifty character. Every day, I think about what type of clothes she should wear and what type of personality she should have."

A representative from her agency said, "As an actress, I'm sure she wants to wear pretty clothing, but she is trying so hard to be true to her thrifty character that she is using her own money to achieve this goal. I hope people will continue to encourage her because she is working hard as an actress."

In episode 16, the most recently aired episode of 'May Queen', Hae Ju (played by Han Ji Hye) gets shocked when Chang Hee (played by Jae Hee) tells her that he wants to break up with her.
