‘Strong Heart’ Oh Yeon Seo, “Before The Role Of Mal Sook, I Was Thinking About Quitting As An Actress”
Oh Yeon Seo confessed that she had planned to quit being an actress.
On the 16th, on SBS's 'Strong Heart', Oh Yeon Seo honestly said, "After acting in 'Unexpected You', many things changed. I became famous and I earned a lot of money."
Although Oh Yeon Seo first debuted as a singer, she said, "Since my stint as a singer didn't go over well, my manager just told me to go home. That's when I got into Anyang Arts High School and started on the path to become an actress."
She then went on to say, "I started acting after that, but things weren't going so well. My real name is Oh Haet Nim so I changed my name to Yeon Seo, but that effect didn't last long."
Oh Yeon Seo said, "This year was the 10th year of my debut. I had decided that if I didn't breakthrough this year, I was going to quit."
She told a behind-the-scenes story about how she got casted in 'Unexpected You'. She said, "There were a lot of idol singers that auditioned for the role. However, I won the role because I thought of this as my last chance and gave it my all when I auditioned for the director."
Oh Yeon Seo said, "I am really glad that 'Unexpected You' did well. I'm worried that this might all be a dream so this motivates me to work even harder."
