The Break-Up Of Singer Se7en And Actress Park Han Byul

The 12-year relationship of singer Se7en and actress Park Han Byul has come to an end. They began dating in high school but they have always carefully guarded their privacy.

It took seven years for the couple to finally admit they were dating in 2009. It also took a long time for the couple to admit they had broken up.

And it happened at roughly the same time that fans learned she was now dating fellow actor Jung Eun Woo.

According to Park Han Byul's agency Daydream Entertainment, Se7en and Park Han Byul decided to take a break in their relationship early in 2014.

It is not known whether this decision had anything to do with Se7en's military service scandal the previous year. The singer was seen visiting an adult massage parlor while on duty and the resulting scandal helped end special military service treatment for celebrities. It also changed the terms of Se7en's military status as he was reassigned to active service.

Keeping a relationship going while your significant other is in the military is hard enough and some relationships don't make it. Add a scandal to that and a break-up is more likely.

The break in the relationship between Se7en and Park Han Byul turned into a break-up, although the two have reportedly remained friends.

Park Han Byul's agency said that she did not want to go public with the news of the break-up because she did not want it to affect the rest of Se7en's military service, which was already difficult enough.

But when she was photographed on a date with her "A Well-Grown Daughter" co-star Jung Eun Woo, she decided to make a public announcement about her break-up with Se7en.

According Daydream Entertainment, Park Han Byul and Jung Eun Woo have known each other since May and only recently began to date.

"After checking with Park Han Byul, she and Jung Eun Woo got to know each other through a production, and afterwards, they hung out together with several people before they grew feelings for each other about a month ago and became a couple," said a Daydream Entertainment press release.

Se7en will be discharged from military duty on December 28. Jung Eun Woo will retake the military exam in 2015. He did not pass his first exam due to a leg nerve injury.

Meanwhile Jung Eun Woo's agency, Blue Dragon Entertainment, says he will next appear in "My Heart Shines."
