Clamor Of Gruesome Candidates In The Mortal Kombat X Characters List; With Tremor Rumored Next, WWE’s Kane And Undertaker, Predator Warrior, Pinhead The Cenobyte, Silent Hill’s Red Pyramid Wanted!

With Tremor rumored to launch next in the Mortal Kombat X characters list, there are only a handful of kombatants left before the April 14 release date. NetherRealm Studios are as secretive as the Easter Eggs thrown into all the games in the franchise so far, though.

The Mortal Kombat X character list could take a page out of previous installments, from Mortal Kombat Reboot in particular. The latter threw in totally unexpected additions as guest characters; the likes of Freddy Krueger, God of War's Kratos were added in the mix; Ed Boon also tweeted a tease of a photo, showing Skorpion squaring off with a Predator warrior.

As far as the next kombatants in line for the Mortal Kombat X characters list are involved, NetherRealm Studios can easily throw a very wild card into the mix. There are plenty of other game and movie franchises with seedy characters that qualify.

Game insiders clamor for a crossover with the WWE franchise, with Kane and The Undertaker in mind. The WWE can also offer other "regular" characters as mirror to the likes of Johnny Cage and Liu Kang, ramped up with a couple of killer moves and fatalities to boot.

NetherRealm Studios can easily expand the Mortal Kombat X characters list with secret kombatants, in the same way Noob Saibot and Ermac turned up in earlier installments.

Horror movie fans want Pinhead in the roster: the first Cenobyte in "Hellraiser" easily fits into the profile of a Mortal Kombatant. It's possible the game has already gone gold and the roster is already set, but the roster of "Mortal Kombat X" characters could still be a gory Super Smash Bros, with Spawn and even Silent Hill's Red Pyramid thrown into the mix.

Mortal Kombat X launches with a story that spans 25 years; some of the game's features include the return of X-ray attacks, and the introduction of Injustice's interactive environment system.

Characters also come with three stylistic variations, in addition to a new set fatalities guaranteed to be gruesome (whatculture.com).
