'Gangnam 1970' Releases Photo Teasers Featuring Lee Min Ho & Kim Ji Soo
Showbox Mediaplex, the production company behind “Gangnam 1970,” has released fashion stills of the cast including Lee Min Ho and Kim Rae Won.
Lee Min Ho is featured in a brown leather jacket and streetwear, which is a juxtaposition to previous photos which have depicted him in a business suit. Lee Min Ho is every bit the seventies man in the photos, even though he was born in the 1980s.
Actress Kim Ji Soo also incorporates seventies style into her on-screen look.
The film will feature vintage vehicles, in addition to fashion, while also looking at trends that were popular during the time.
“Gangnam 1970” will examine the Gangnam district prior to its present day development and Korean trends such as the burgeoning cabaret culture of the seventies. “Gangnam 1970” focuses on the fictitious struggle of young developers and organized crime members who shaped modern day Gangnam.
“Gangnam 1970” marks Lee Min Ho’s first starring role in a feature film and will premier on January 21.
