After winning an Oscar award for the "Dallas Buyers Club," Matthew McConaughey is now part of the Golden Globes 2015 nominees for his performance in the HBO mini-series "True Detective." His co-star, Woody Harrelson, is also fighting for the Best Actor in a Mini Series or TV movie.

2014 was also great year for Martin Freeman. He isn't just known as Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit" trilogy or John Watson in "Sherlock." His portrayal of a bullied middle-aged-man-turned-killer in "Fargo," earned him a nomination for the Golden Globes.

Martin is joined by "Fargo" co-star Billy Bob Thornton.

On the other hand, "The Normal Heart" star Mark Ruffalo is also vying for the trophy.
