On January 2, Mnet released an exclusive video featuring the opening sequence of the upcoming musical drama “Sing Again, Hera Gu.” “Sing Again, Hera Gu” also known as “Persevere, Goo Hae Ra” will feature one of the first fully executed flash mob scenes in a Korean drama. While there have been short sequences in the proposal finale in “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” the scene in “Sing Again, Hera Gu” will feature a complete flash mob.

Contestants from Mnet’s “Dancing 9” are featured in the flash mob sequence, along with the drama’s actors. The cast of the musical drama includes Super Junior-M’s Henry and Jinyoung of B1A4.

Actress Min Hyo Rin (Sunny, Twenty) stars as Goo Hae Ra, a twenty-one year old vocalist who dreams of becoming a famous singer. Her ambition is fueled by a desire to perform the music of her deceased father. The show reflects a bit of product synergy from Mnet, as Goo Hae Ra is a fictitious contestant on the music program “Superstar K.” She competes with her childhood friends, Se Chan (B1A4’s Jinyoung) and Se Jong (Kwak Si Yang).

During the course of their competition, the trio are paired up with Henry (Super Junior-M’s Henry), Jang Goon (Ulala Session’s Park Kwang Sun) and Woori (The Voice Korea’s Yoo Sung Eun).

2014 delivered musical dramas like “Trot Lovers and “My Lovely Girl.” “Sing Again, Hera Gu” will kick off 2015 with a bang when it premieres on January 9.
