Project Scissors Game: Official Title Revealed Online As New Details For The Game's Trailer Teased By Nude Maker Studio!

Project Scissors is now NightCry, per a replacement teaser trailer for Japanese studio Nude Maker's approaching tower successor. The video is directed by Takashi Shimizu, the film maker behind Ju-On and its Yankee remake, The Grudge.

Over the course of the video's thirty seconds, it depicts many fragmented scenes, together with one amongst a baby suffering from a spectral being wielding scissors, the trademark weapon of the tower series' villain. NightCry could be a note Vita and iOS/Android game below development by Nude Maker, a Japanese studio lead by tower creator Hifumi Kouno.

Its story unfolds aboard a luxury cruise ship, tasking the player character with resolution a series of mysterious murders that leaves the boat stranded within the middle of the ocean.

The game was declared at Tokio giveaway last Sep, wherever Shimizu's role as artistic producer was elaborate.

Another notable talent on the NightCry team is that the original Silent Hill stage director Masahiro Ito, UN the agency, can function creature designer.

The developer further explains the involvement of Mashiro Ito in the game,

The talents I invited to this project were chosen not for how famous they were but because I have faith in them from a creative perspective. Mr. Ito is known for 'Pyramid Head' and the 'Bubble Head Nurses' from Silent Hill, and is without a doubt a brilliant designer and artist.  He added, "Although I was worried a bit that he'd bring with him the sort of unreal/other-worldly art direction of Silent Hill, after talking with him he agreed to adapt his artistic style more towards that of the original Clock Tower, and so I was reassured that I could count on him as a part of the development team."

NightCry's video description mentions AN "old evil ris[ing]." whether or not that suggests a replacement version of the disreputable Scissorman character is up for dialogue, however it positive sounds like him within the trailer.

lso disclosed at 2014's Tokio giveaway was the thought trailer for Silent Hills, another much-anticipated horror game from Japan.
