Samsung Galaxy S4 along with other Samsung devices like the Note 2, are scheduled to get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update soon.  However, new reports suggest that users might have to wait for a month for the OS update.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update, in comparison to the android Kitkat Jelly Bean, has better visual effects and a faster user interface. Another feature of the Android 5.0 Lollipop is that it has a better visual appeal than the Android 4.4 KitKat.

Google's new Lollipop has sweetened its brand new update with an updated screen lock, pull down bar notification, multitasking option, redesigned menu and brighter colors.

The OS update has also modified its card-style user interface for accessing the shortcut dialer. Taking into account all the Samsung Galaxy S4 variants, the Android update might take until February for the update to find its way to Samsung devices worldwide.

"Nevertheless, getting Lollipop update in early ’15 is quite difficult. It is true that the testing and the certification take a lot of time. However, one can expect the U.S. Galaxy carriers to roll out soon and could probably be the first to sell in the market," The Next Digit reported.

As expected, Samsung is keeping mum on further updates. Samsung has a reputation for not making a lot of noise about its products until it has released.
