“Kill Me, Heal Me” star Ji Sung is receiving praise for his spot-on portrayal of Yo Na, a K-pop fan with a sassy personality and an affinity for hair-pulling. His commitment to the character is reflected in his walk and his execution of an affected female voice.

He spoke with Enews about the role stating, “ I just created the character by remembering the kind of actions that I′ve seen female high school students do. I just followed their rapid fire speech with no breaks, rhythmic way of walking, and quick and large reactions.”

His agency, Namoo Actors, released behind-the-scenes footage of the actor from the set of “Kill Me, Heal Me."

“Kill Me, Heal Me” is a Wednesday-Thursday drama which focuses on Cha Do Hyun, a wealthy man suffering from dissociative identity disorder. Over the course of the drama, he displays six other personalities. Yo Na is the sister of Yo Sub, a teenaged boy with suicidal tendencies. She serves as a defense mechanism for Do Hyun, who retreats to the personality to avoid experiencing unpleasant emotions.

As Yo Na, he expresses enthusiasm for the fictitious idol group Rocking before attacking Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum) who is trying to protect his true identity. The situation is hilarious but the ridiculous nature of the scenario is heartbreaking.

The meaning of the drama's title "Kill Me, Heal Me" was addressed at the conclusion of episode seven and during a climactic moment in episode eight. Ri Jin explains that she was willing to remain by Do Hyun's side, after realizing that Yo Sub's spray painted message "Kill Me" may have been a cry for help. Ri Jin interprets the message as "Heal Me" and decides to assist Do Hyun.
