Oh boy! Oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy! I thought things were getting exciting last week but all of that crazy pales in comparison to this week's episodes of Hyde, Jekyll and I.

So last week we left off with the shocking realization that Dr. Yoon is actually Lee Soo Hyun, the evil, vindictive, criminal mastermind behind the kidnapping of Dr. Kang. Because it's not bad enough Dr. Yoon has Dr. Kang stashed in some secret room of his apartment, we also learn he's also the mental hijacker who brainwashed that poor hospital employee and told him to attack Ha Na. This week he takes things further by going after Seo Jin, forcing him to relive all of his worst nightmares, all the while threatening to kill Dr. Kang if he doesn't cooperate AND THEN... (because none of this is enough to solidify his place as the most evil of villains) he has to include Ha Na in his plans, using her to further provoke Seo Jin. What makes all of Soo Hyun's shenanigans worse is knowing that NO ONE SUSPECTS HIM! Dr. Yoon has the perfect cover and he plays the part of an innocent so well, no one suspects he could ever be the one behind all of this madness. With this being the case everyone in the world keeps inviting Dr. Yoon into their lives, involving him in the investigations, persuading Ha Na to continue her sessions with him and basically giving him all the information he needs to torment Seo Jin and Ha Na for the rest of forever. AUGH! Sorry but this insanity is really getting to me. It's like inviting Dracula in for the night and then freaking out when you wake up the next morning a vampire! I just want to scream at everyone to use a little common sense but they can't because THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE DOING!

I'll be the first to admit that my frustration with this whole Dr. Yoon thing stems from a very real fear that something horrible is going to happen Ha Na and there's nothing I can do to intervene. I'm stuck sitting here, watching her walk into a trap over and over again and it's killing me! She has no clue Dr. Yoon is the bad guy. She trusts this man implicitly and every time she submits herself to his hypnotherapy, she's placing herself completely at his mercy. She's been lucky, up to this point, because he seems to have refrained from messing with her head but we all know he's more than capable of doing just that and if he does... What then? He could tell Ha Na to jump off a bridge and she would. He could tell her to murder Seo Jin and she'd do it without even blinking an eye. He could do anything he ever wanted and Ha Na would be completely clueless as to what happened and that scares the crap out of me! I want to do everything in my power to keep her as far away from Dr. Yoon as possible but I can't! I'm forced to leave her fate in the hands of others, namely Seo Jin and Robin, and that kills me because she's not nearly as safe in their hands as I'd like her to be.

Just look at what happened this week! Robin was the star of the show this week, taking over Seo Jin's daylight hours on the day Seo Jin was needed most and what was the result? Seo Jin's in danger of losing his position at the company and he walks right into Soo Hyung's trap. Way to go Robin! I get that Robin has no clue as to what happened to Seo Jin all those years ago so it makes sense that he would have no reservations about following the orders of the creepy voice on the other side of the phone. I also completely understand that by following those orders he was doing what he thought he had to do to save Dr. Kang but still... He had to have some sort of clue that walking through Seo Jin's nightmares would eventually lead him to bad places. I mean when someone goes through the trouble to re-create every detail of a man's worst memories, you know the ending is going to be just as bad the second time as it was the first. Right? I know Robin's happy-go-lucky and carefree but that doesn't mean he's clueless. He should have done something more to resist but I suppose his curiosity got the better of him. I guess I can understand that. I mean if this is the moment that brought you into existence, wouldn't you like to know what really happened?

Unfortunately for Robin, he's still clueless as to what happened the night Seo Jin was kidnapped and I find myself trying hard not to facepalm. Again I have to point out the fact that he walked right into Soo Hyun's trap! What was he expecting? Tea and cookies? The Ghost House should have been enough to tip him off and if that didn't work, the psycho on the other side of that phone, threatening to kill someone, should have been a pretty big clue! If a crazy person tells you to walk into an abandoned warehouse, you've got to except something nasty lurking on the other side of that door. Don't you? I guess it's possible sweet, innocent Robin might not expect something so horrific to happen but he's never really come off as naive to me, just nice. Whatever Robin's reasoning, he walked straight into a trap, was knocked out and Seo Jin had to wake up in a very real nightmare. That poor man! He's spent the majority of his life avoiding anything that remotely reminded him of his kidnapping and without having any say in the matter, he comes-to in the one place in all the world he doesn't want to be.

As traumatic as this whole kidnapping re-creation was, I'm glad Ha Na was there to help Seo Jin through it. I have a feeling things would have turned out a whole lot worse if she hadn't followed Robin to that warehouse. Seo Jin needed Ha Na there in the worst way and not just to keep him from completely breaking down. Because Ha Na was there, Seo Jin was afforded a rare opportunity to re-write his past and in doing so, I'm convinced he's taken his first steps towards healing. By putting Ha Na's safety before his own, Seo Jin has proven to himself he's not completely incapable of helping others. He does have the strength. He does have the ability. He's just spent so much of his life convinced that helping others isn't in his power... That's why he created Robin, isn't it? Because he couldn't deal with the guilt he felt after being unable to save Soo Hyun? I'm not saying that by putting Ha Na's safety before his own, he's suddenly cured (because that would be ridiculous) but at least now Seo Jin knows that the past isn't doomed to repeat itself and there's hope that he can change, that he can grow, that he can learn to become more than what he's allowed himself to be. See what happens when you allow yourself to love and be loved? Wait! What?

Yup! That's right. You heard me. (Read me??? Whatever!) I'm saying it right here and now. Seo Jin and Ha Na have both fallen for each other, they're just not ready to admit it... Yet. I'm convinced it's only a matter of time though. Just look at the way Ha Na reacted when Robin told her the boy on the bridge wasn't him but was actually Seo Jin. Knowing that the boy she'd been caring about for over a year was actually Seo Jin suddenly put him in a whole new light and Ha Na has admitted that she can't help but worry about him... Care for him? I can't remember her exact words but in essence she's saying she can't get him out of her mind (or her heart) and we all know what that means! (Can I do the happy dance of joy now?) Of course before she lets herself fall complete for Seo Jin, she needs to solve this Robin/Seo Jin mystery. Waking up from such a traumatic incident, convinced you saw one person but being told repeatedly that it was another, has got to be confusing but Ha Na's too smart to chalk the whole thing up to fuzzy trauma brain. She knows what she saw, she knows who was there and all the evidence she needs is in that one wounded arm. The question is, is Ha Na going to be able to accept the truth that Seo Jin and Robin are one and the same, or is she going to invent some sort of story to avoid dealing with a rather painful truth? My money's on Ha Na being able to deal with the truth as it comes because she's just that awesome... Honestly, I have more worries about Seo Jin trying to hide the truth by pushing her away but who knows? After this incident, maybe he'll finally admit he's better off with her around... Wouldn't that be nice? *sigh*

So tell me, what did you think of this week's episodes? Do you have any favorite moments you'd like to discuss? Perhaps some theories or predictions you'd like to make? We've made it to the half-way point in this drama, where do you see things going from here? You know I always love hearing from you so be sure to let me know what you're thinking by leaving me a comment below!
