KBS decided to not give “City Conquest” a time slot.

The agency that produced the drama, 100 Media, revealed through a press release on January 31st, that KBS backed up in their deal to air drama, because of the violence.

They stated that even though they listen to KBS's requests and went through a series of changes in their scripts, actors and writers, that made them loose money, the network still didn't accept the drama.

100 Media then blamed the new KBS president for not airing the drama for "political reasons."

KBS responded to the press release, denying the accusations stating that they did not give the drama the time slot, “because the quality of the drama was not sufficient for the channel and the violence shown in the drama was not appropriate for the public.”

The drama had a budget of 4 billion won ($3.67 million) and is about a man who fights corruption, and the evils of society. “City Conquest” stars Kim Hyun Joong, Jung Yoo Min, Nam Goo Min, Kim Seung Woo, and Park Hyo Joon.
