Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Up For Pre-order At Verizon On April 1; Detailed Specs, Features And Price

The Verizon has revealed that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 is up for pre-order on April 1.

The retailer disclosed that the said announcement on their Twitter post on March 7 said : "Preorders for Samsung #GalaxyS6 & S6 edge w/ Verizon 4G LTE & 5.5" Quad HD Super AMOLED display will begin on 4/1."

However, Verizon has not yet announced the price of the two devices but it is speculated that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's starting price is $299.99 with a new two-year contract and the Galaxy S6 is at $199.99 with the same arrangement, the GSM Arena reported.

Furthermore, as for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge specs, according to GSM Arena, the device has a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 and 577 ppi. The device has a Corning Gorillas Glass 4 for screen protection with TouchWiz UI and curved edge screen.

The smartphone has an Exynos 7420 processor with a CPU of quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-153 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57. It has a Mali-T670 and run on Android v5.0.2 Lollipop operating system with the Mali-T760 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has 3 GB of RAM with storage variants of 32, 64, 128GB respectively. When it comes to the camera, the device has 5MP camera on the front and 16MP camera at the back. The camera has LED flash, optical image stabilization, autofocus, Geo tagging, face detection, auto high dynamic range mode and other photography features that the user can explore with.

The handset has a 2,600 mAh battery and it is set to offer different colors such as white pearl, gold platinum, green emerald and more.

Meanwhile, the GSM Arena wrote that Big red has not yet unveiled when the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 will be available, but Samsung has said that the two devices will be available in 20 countries starting on April 10.
