The "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date has been allegedly set to October 2016 following a recent purported reveal by a Rockstar dev.

Cyberland has reported that Rockstar is has allegedly set the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date to October 2016 should their plans for the development of the game go through smoothly.

"My source says that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for GTAV and they are going to focus on RDR2 now. Rockstar expects the game to be out by October next year as long as the devs doesn't hit any road blocks during development" as was noted on the report.

According to report by CrossMap, a Rockstar developer allegedly admitted that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in development right now and that fans should expect news about the game soon.

"A senior developer in Rockstar named 'Feinstein' said that the company is already working on 'Red Dead Redemption 2'...Following Rockstar's recent statements released on their 'Asked & Answered' post in their website, the company said they are happy about people's great anticipation for 'Red Dead Redemption 2' and have asked fans to 'stay tuned' for something that will happen by 2015" as was written on the report.

But the leaks doesn't stop there as Express.co.uk has revealed that a bunch of new purported leaks about "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been unveiled.

"Sources this week claim the new game will be called: Red Dead: Legends of the West and will include a trio of characters, like used in GTA 5. Irish and Seth are reported to be returning as playable characters, with the game set before the events of Red Dead Redemption. A third playable character is also set to be included but will be fully customisable and be new to the series. Other reported features include, buying your own safe house, the ability to join gangs and town law enforcement, and chance to pull off bank robberies," wrote Express.co.uk.
