The Malaysian government has reportedly denied the allegations that the dangerous cargo on board of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 caused the disappearance of the plane

The Star Online reported that Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Aziz Kaprawi said that, according to the Interim Report and Factual Information on MH370 released on March 8 by the International Civil Aviation Organization probe team, the plane's cargo had nothing to do with the disappearance of the aircraft.

"The 600-page interim report has clarified the flight's preparation records, communications between the cockpit and air traffic control, flight path based on satellite data, and on the crew and cargo," Kaprawi was quoted as saying.

The search for MH370 is reportedly ongoing but, still, no wreckage has been found. In a recent update, investigators disclosed that 60 percent of the search area has been searched and the search might be concluded in May, according to Day Herald.

The publication added that the Australia has spent around $15 million for the underwater search.

Moreover, it was reported in March that Paul Kennedy, the Project Director for the contractor of Fugro disclosed that an area is only searched once, because the cost and complexity of the project.

"Before we go to the site, we actually have to prove the equipment is fully functioning, so that when we're on location and we start searching, if we run over the aircraft, the debris field, we actually know we will detect it," said Kennedy.

"It's a very expensive search, we want to know that if we run over it, we know we don't miss it by accident because we will never go back there again for a second look," he added.

The Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 reportedly had 227 passengers and 12 crew on board. It disappeared about an hour after leaving the Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12:41am on March 8. It was scheduled to arrive in Beijing on the same day at 6:30am.
