Google Introduces 'Designed For Families' with 'High Quality Apps And Games,' When Will It Be Available?

The Google has recently unveiled the "Designed for Families" feature with games and apps. According to Phone Arena, the new feature called "Designed for Families" is scheduled to be launched in a few weeks.

"In several weeks, a new family-focused experience on Google Play will give users new ways to browse, search, and discover high quality apps and games for their families," according to Developer Android.

The games and apps that meet the guidelines set by Google will be available in a section where the family can easily find apps and games or content suitable for parents and kids. Furthermore, Google has disclosed some of the requirements needed for an app to be considered for the "Designed for Families" program.

"If your 'Designed for Families' app displays ads, you confirm that you comply with applicable legal obligations relating to advertising to children, ads displayed to child audiences do not involve interests=based advertising or remarketing, ads displayed to child audience present content that is consistent with the app's content rating and ads displayed to child audiences follow the 'Designed for Families' ad format requirements," it said.

Apps with children as their target audience may not use the Google+ Sign-In or Google Play game service as the login experience for their app. The developer also added that apps on "Designed for Families" that did not comply with the guidelines might be rejected from the feature or be removed from the Google Play Store.

Google has reportedly stated that this service would appear in the Google Play Store "the moment it will be available."
