The Cyanogen OS 12 update for OnePlus One has resumed with a newer build YNG1TAS17L, according to Android Police.

The new version of Cyanogen OS 12 for OnePlus One brings the "OK OnePlus' feature, a voice activation feature that can work even if the smartphone is in sleep mode.

In addition, GSM Arena reported that the update is being made available to all supporting countries, but the rollout process will be carried out in phases, so it might take some time before it will reach other areas.

The OnePlus One remains on Cyanogen OS 12, based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and the new build brings security enhancements and power improvements for the handset.

The Cyanogen OS 12 update for the OnePlus One smartphone has been released on April 12 and then halted on April 20 "supposedly due to new 'OK OnePlys' feature."

However, Steven Kondik clarified in the OnePlus Forum the reason for the OTA's rollout halt.

"Just FYI, the reasons why we stopped the initial rollout is because of a problem updating encrypted devices from 11 to 12, and a couple of bugs that we felt were critical enough to fix before continuing (mms/telephony/themes). We also had an error in our production build environment that broke voice wake up," wrote Kondik.

"I apologize for the delays.. This is why we do staged rollouts. Lots of stuff (especially among a crowd like this that might not be in a fully stock state) is really though to account for when doing OTAs, so we closely watch the diagnostic data and make our decisions based on it."

Furthermore, the International Business Times added that the Cyanogen OS 12 update is around 550MB in size. It offers features available in Lollipop, like "material design elements of visual, motion, interaction design, and graphic animation."
