Jang Hyuk And His Wife Welcome A Daughter

Jang Hyuk and his wife are now the proud parents of three children.

According to the Korean media outlet Newsen, the actor's wife Kim Yeo Jin, gave birth to a healthy daughter on April 16, which was very close to her due date. The daughter rounds out the family as the actor and his wife already have two sons, born in 2008 and 2009.

According to his agency Sidus HQ, the actor is very happy to have a daughter. And he has reasons to be happy about the timing of the birth.

"He is scheduled to go to China to film a movie, but thankfully, he was able to witness the birth of his child before he left," said the Sidus HQ representative.

Jang took a few weeks off from his acting schedule to help his wife prepare for the birth, but he now has to get back to work.

In a 2014 interview with enewsworld, Jang said that his marriage made him more warm-hearted and enabled him to play characters that seemed more human.

His 17-year acting career has seen some transformations. At first he specialized in playing cold-hearted characters and starring in action films. He was so good at action scenes that he occasionally performed his own stunts and taught others how to do them.

When he appeared in the rom-com "Fated To Love You" with Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk, he played a man who unexpectedly becomes a father and eventually falls in love with the baby's mother. He made a very convincing and appealing father figure.

Jang followed his success in that comedy with another successful drama "Shine Or Go Crazy" with co-star Oh Yeon Seo. He rounded out the year by taking a role in the film "Empire of Lust," with co-stars Shin Ha Kyun and Kang Ha Neul.

Jang credits his wife with not only making him more compassionate but with staying by his side through some tough times.

He met his Pilates instructor wife at a fitness center in 2002. Jang Hyuk and Kim Yeo Jin dated for six years before marrying in 2008.

In a 2013 interview with Cosmopolitan magazine the actor said that his children are a priority in their marriage.

"After we got married and had children, when we talked, we talked about children, family and the people around us, and not so much about ourselves."

Now they have one more child to talk about.
