JYJ's Kim Jae Joong has almost finished his basic training. The singer and actor reported for his mandatory military duty on March 31 and he has been in basic training since then. There will be a ceremony soon to mark the completion of basic training. Friends and family of the recruits have been invited.

A representative from his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, stated that Kim's family and agency representatives are planning to attend the ceremony. It is not yet known whether fellow JYJ members Junsu and Park Yoo Chun will be able to attend.

"Their schedules have not yet been confirmed," said the C-JeS representative.

Although the JYJ members are close, both Park Yoo Chun and Junsu have demanding work schedules at the moment. Park Yoo Chun is filming the drama "The Girl Who Sees Smells" with Shin Se Kyung. Junsu is currently starring in the musical "Death Note," playing a genius detective. Junsu and Park Yoo Chun have not yet served their mandatory military duty, but are also expected to enlist some time in 2015.

But even if the only people that show up at the ceremony are Kim Jae Joong's family, he will have plenty of friendly faces in the audience.

The singer-actor, who recently starred in the dramas "Spy" and "Triangle," has eight older adopted sisters, a half-sister and a stepbrother in his extended family.

Once basic training is complete, Kim will receive specialized training and learn where he will be stationed for the rest of his tour of military duty. His tour of duty will be complete early in 2017.

Before Kim enlisted, he wrapped up work on the drama "Spy" and spent some time saying goodbye to his family and fans. He was active until two days before he enlisted. He held the 2015 Kim Jae Joong Concert - the Beginning of the End on March 28 and 29 at Seoul's Korea University Tiger Dome.

"Just Us," his last album with JYJ, was released in July 2014. The singer's last solo release, a Japanese album, "WWW Keshou" was released in January 2014.  Since then he has focused primarily on his acting career. That focus paid off as he earned praise for his skill in performing his last two drama roles.

Kim will serve his military duty at roughly the same time as fellow actor Choi Jin Hyuk and actor-singer Kim Hyun Joong, who enlists next week.
