Moon Geun Young In the Talks To Appear in New Drama

Actress Moon Geun Young is considering a new role.

Rumor has it, that the actress was offered the leading female role of upcoming MBC drama “Goddess of Fire Jeongi.”

According to insiders of the industry, the actress is “positively thinking” about accepting the role.

The historical drama that will be directed by Park Sung Soo (No Limit, Mr. Gang) and written by Kwon Soon Gyu (Warrior Baek Dong Soo) and will take place in the Joseon dynasty and will be about Baek Pa Sun, the first woman who created ceramics.

In that time, potters were force to move to Japan, and the drama will follow her life in 32 episodes.

If she accepts the role, this will be Moon Geun Young's second historical drama. She was the female leading role in the 2008 drama “Painter of the Wind.”

The production is currently undergoing casting for the leading male role.

Meanwhile, the actress recently met the public with the drama "Cheongdamdong Alice," starring alongside Park Shi Hoo.

“Goddess of Fire Jeongi.” is to be aired on Mondays and Tuesdays after “The Writings of Nine Houses” ends in June 2013.
