Is Seo In Guk Dating Sunny Of Girls' Generation?
On May 15, Korean news outlet Sports Seoul published a report which allegedly confirmed a dating relationship between Seo In Guk and Girls' Generation member Sunny. Dating rumors have previously surrounded the stars, but the report claimed to substantiate their relationship.
"Seo In Guk and Sunny are currently seeing each other with good feelings," claimed an unnamed source who is close to the two stars.
According to Sports Seoul, the stars developed a relationship after they were introduced by Girls' Generation member Yuri, during the filming of the 2013 film "No Breathing." After meeting on-set, the pair allegedly continued to keep in contact.
The dating rumors were reignited after Seo was allegedly admitted into the hospital. According to Sports Seoul, Sunny frequently visited him during his period of respite.
SM Entertainment issued a statement denying the rumors. According to a report published by eNews, the agency quickly clarified the situation. "After checking, rumors of Sunny and Seo In Guk dating are not true," said a representative for SM Entertainment. "They are groundless."
Representatives for Seo In Guk also responded to the report published by Sports Seoul and denied the relationship.
Korean netizens offered an interesting explanation for the dating rumors and the recent increase in scandal news. According to Netizen Buzz, of the trending comments on the Sports Seoul article examined a financial scandal involving President Park Geun Hye and Yoo Byung Un. "Scandals blowing up left and right ever since this certain piece of news hit the media: 6.7 billion won invested into Yoo Byung Un's company," said an unnamed netizen, in response to the report about Seo In Guk and Sunny.
Sunny is one of the only members of Girls' Generation who is not involved in a public relationship.
