Lee Byung Hun Confesses He Suffered From Depression and Panic Disorder.

Hallyu star Lee Byung Hun made a difficult confession.

The star appeared in the SBS show “Healing Camp” On March 11th, where he opened up about a lot of things.

The actor revealed that he went through depression, after his dad suddenly died, and he became the sole breadwinner of his household. He was also in charge of paying his father's debt.

He said, “At the time, my drama “Beautiful Days” was really popular, and I was able to pay off the debt, I was supposed to be happy, but right then, I fell into depression. I felt like I was trapped in a small room. It was really difficult to even open my eyes. As soon as I opened my eyes, I wondered why I woke up. The happiest time was when I was asleep. I later found out it was depression.”

He went on, “After depression, the panic disorder started to happen, and I still have them as of today. I feel really scared when I am in a crowded place with unfamiliar people. When I act, is fine, but when I attend fan meetings, or award ceremonies, I get scared.”

Beside his sad confessions, the actor talked about his girlfriend Lee Min Jung saying, “She knows many parts of myself, that I don’t even know.”
The actor made the viewers laugh with his funny personality and endless smiles.

Thanks to the actor, and his first appearance in variety shows in nearly 15 years, the show was the most watched show in its time slot. The show recorded a 11.4%.
