"I'm Alive, So I Want to Live!" (Oh Soo)
When Oh Soo struggles to save his own life, Moon Hee Sun (Jung Eun Ji) says, "What is the reason you want to live even through all of this?" Oh Soo replies, "I'm alive, so I want to live." This line by Oh Soo touched everybody who shared this struggle to make a living. Viewers sympathized with what Oh Soo was feeling because they were all doing the same thing.

"My Little Sister is Not a Piece of Furniture!" (Oh Soo)
When Oh Soo tries to take Oh Young (Song Hye Kyo) outside of the house, secretary Wang (Bae Jong Ok) tries to stop them. Secretary Wang worries that Oh Young will get hurt if she gets out of his sight. Oh Soo tells him, "My little sister is not a piece of furniture." Oh Soo tells him that just because his sister is blind, it does not mean she needs to stay at home, out of danger, all the time.

"It must have been difficult. You must have been in so much pain. Isn't that what you're supposed to ask first?" (Oh Young)
Oh Soo finds his little sister after 20 years of being away. However, Oh Young is cold to him. Oh Young says, "I was fine when you left 21 years ago but now I can't use my eyes. If you really love me then wouldn't you ask me 'It must have been difficult. You must have been in so much pain' before you spoke about my assets?" and begins to cry. This is one of the most memorable scenes in "That Winter, The Wind Blows."

While the sibling spend quality time together, Oh Young tells Oh Soo that she wants to touch him. Oh Soo refuses at first but Oh Young says, "We, the blind, have to touch to see. We learn from touching. So the blind is innocent whatever they touch"

"Something that somebody can do for another person is comfort them, not forgive them" (Oh Young)
Oh young asks Oh Soo to tell her about his past. Oh Soo begins to describe the life he's had to live and expresses his hate for his mother who abandoned him right after his birth. He then tells Oh Young, "Who are you to forgive her? The only thing a person can do for another person is comfort them, not forgive them."

"You're too easy for me to get rid of!" (Oh Soo)
Oh Young learns that Oh Soo approached her for her money. Oh Young becomes furious and tells him he will not get any money from her until she's dead and that he can kill her now if he needs the money that badly. Oh Soo tries to defend himself and says, "I can kill you right now if I wanted to and I had plenty of chances. You're too easy for me to gt rid of" and begins to cry.
