'Producer' Ratings Continue To Climb As Kim Soo Hyun Provides Comfort To Gong Hyo Jin

"Producer" continues to generate higher ratings, as the series begins to incorporate fewer scenes which are shot in the docu-drama format of programs like "The Office." According to the May 31 report from Nielsen Korea (AGB), 13.5 percent of viewers throughout the nation tuned in watch the sixth episode of the KBS series. This was an increase of 2.3 percent from ratings which were reported for the fifth episode, which aired on May 30.

In episode six, the love line between Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) and Tak Ye Jin (Gong Hyo Jin) continued to develop. Seung Chan provided comfort to Ye Jin, following an on-set accident.

While Seung Chan grows closer to Ye Jin, it appears as though he may only have professional interest in Cindy (IU). It appeared as Seung Chan and Cindy had grown closer, but that was less apparent by the conclusion of the episode. Fans of the Umbrella Couple will have to continue tuning in to see whether Cindy will finally receive love.

The May 31 episode could mark the midpoint of the series, which was originally slated for a 12 episode run.

"Producer" fared better than other programs which were broadcast in the same time slot. The MBC weekend series, "Flower of the Queen" followed "Producer," with 11.3 percent. "Flower of the Queen" stars Kim Sung Ryoung (The Heirs) as Rena Jung, an ambitious chef and cooking show host. Lee Jong Hyuk (A Gentleman's Dignity) portrays a Park Min Joon, a wealthy heir.

The SBS program "Dongsangimong Ok Ok," followed "Flower of the Queen," with 5.7 percent of nationwide viewership. 

The weekend romantic comedy, "Divorce Lawyer in Love," recorded 3.7 percent.
